DEN not DIA. The news source should use the correct IATA nomenclature and not some made up drivel.

Judging by the number of other articles featuring "DIA", looks like the locals use DIA when referring to Denver International Airport -- but your point is accurate and one I agree with, let's use KDEN when speaking to an aviation-orientated audience.

The article wasn't intended for an 'aviation-oriented audience' as it was written by the local CBS affiliate in Denver. DIA is always how the airport is referred to locally. It would hardly make sense to call it "KDEN".

Yeah, Denver folk call it DIA. Ever since DIA became DEN, they kept the old acronym. In Kansas City, everybody calls the airport KCI, but the IATA code is MCI.

That is one severe flat spot
sparkie624
Flatter than you can imagine.... It was flat Spotted all the way through the Hub Assy and into the breaks to the point that the Jacking Point was about about 6" off the ground... Normally it is about 18" to get the jack under it. All 4 mains that way... I probably shouldn't say why this happened!

These things happen once in a while... Will have to get more details on that one...
