Would like to see confirmation that it was, in effect ad drone. Embedded pieces? Even micro- remains? That said, can't see any bird splatter on the radome. Is that always the case?

Cheers

Prolly a news drone covering the caravan of illegal asylum seekers.

It’s a term used by a super secret internet society. If I told you I —————!

Try inserting the word probably with "prolly". Try thinking for yourself.

It is only a matter of time until a major incident occurs due to a drone. The operators just don't get the implications of a collision with a large fast moving aircraft.

SOME operators. On the other hand, there are those who bend over backwards to not only meet, but exceed the safety regulations currently in effect.

But like all crime, it is not practical to put a cop on every corner. So sadly, we will end up with some sort of disaster before people realize the consequences of their actions.

Remember we only change when it is forced upon us after serious blunders. I am reminded of the HINDENBURG. The first and last Zeppellin that taught us how volatile hydrogen can be. A drone will violate the HINDENBURG accident. Fools never learn since it is beyond them.
babyracer
Arguably the last but by no means the first. Far, far too many incidents in the 30 years prior to Hindenburg.

I am not sure if FAA or Transport Canada rules are included with the purchase of a drone,or even if the sales person is aware of the restrictions. I have friends who use them for real estate photography, tourist advertising, off season hunting scouting and landscaping. They all found out AFTER they bought them, that there were major restrictions re air space and proximity to air fields.

Sounds just like the type of person who has there head in the sand. I would think that they were so smart due to what they do research before buying anything would be the KEY.

few if any airlines will pay for safety features other than those that will affect their bottom line. It is a business. Safety does not sell in a highly regulated environment. I agree with Cansojr. Something serious has to happen. ex: little change following Malaysia 370.

What safety features? Installing a new brain in the operator?

My use of the word "airlines" would seem to indicate my perspective.

No I was thinking of AC being able to detect in advance and avoid. Or ATC have the ability to see anything lower than max drone height and advise AC that a go around is required.
