Airlines warn of higher fares as industry moves to net zero target
Airline passengers face higher ticket prices as the industry moves towards its target of reducing emissions to net zero by 2050, the head of a global trade association said on Tuesday. Net zero target? Good luck with THAT! With all the sourced inputs required for airline flights (service disposables, foods, fuel, repair/maintenance parts and supplies, to barf bags, crew layover costs, etc.) this hardly seems possible.
Roger that! Nothing is net zero and there are no free lunches. What net zero will really equate to is what's left in people's wallets.
Long distance travel will have to revert to multiple 1 hour legs, like the old stagecoaches did across the prairie. What progress we are making, all against a hoax.
How many volcanoes are erupting right now all over the world with all that evil CO2 into the atmosphere that far outweighs the "carbon footprint" of human activity?????

You bet its cost to do so will take care of any passenger growth. Wages wont sustain all of the hyped eco friendly ways of doing things. Wait and see its already in progress with electric cars.
Such a need did not exist years ago when with fewer people on the planet. Greater population pressure can only equate to a lower quality of overall life.
The earth's population has doubled in the last 40 years although the growth rate is slowing now. We have always needed net zero. I don't want to make someone else clean up my mess.
But don't you get tired of paying for and cleaning up theirs?
