THIS IS A HUGE MISTAKE BY BOMBARDIER.

It isn't a done deal yet, and hopefully Bombardier doesn't count their eggs as the chickens have not left the building.

One can only hope!

Gee, and after hitting up the Can Gov for $375M and the Quebec Gov for $1 billion in loan guarantees for the “C” series which they sold to Airbus, just where are the $$$ ending up?

Exactly where they said it would go, maintaining the C-Series as they divest out. They've had cash flow issues for a long time. The CRJs have been loosing money for a while and the model is long overdue for a refresh. They just don't have the cash to stay competitive. Sad facts.

At least the A220 seems to be finally selling well, so their final contribution to passenger aviation will endure for some time.

Anywhere they want. It’s their money.
djames225
No it isn't their money...it's our money as we lent it to them.

Maybe we can get the government to block the sale of sensitive technology. If Mitisubuishi is that anxious to get its hits on it, I say NO. They will just sell it back to us and that's just stupid. CAANADA must block this sale.

Sad day for the Canadian aviation industry. I doubt that Mitsubishi will continue to sell and develop this product in Canada. How long before Bombardier puts its Biz jet business up for sale?

I don't think they will. The reason behind them selling the commercial side is so they can concentrate on the Business jet side. Sales and production went up after they sold off the C series

Expected from Bombardier. Great technology, appalling business management. Huge irrecoverable mistake.

A couple of months ago Bombardier was suing them and now they jumped in the sack with them. Mitsubishi’s MRJ was plagued with delays. I guess the CRJ will be getting spoilerons now.

The CRJ technically has spoilerons
sparkie624
No Technically to it... They do have Spoilerons!
