Belgian Airlines, InterJet (Mexico) have walked away from the SSJ in relatively short time, due to excessive technical faults - Beligan had 92 cancellations in 22 days. Both airlines had pointed to overwhelming lack of factory support from UAC, to the point of the factory stating practically all problems/defects were 'pilot fault' It would appear there are a few bugs to be worked out. No matter how sweet the acquisition deal was, a grounded plane is little more than a paper-weight. Add to that NO factory support presence in the Western hemisphere, SSJ does not spell success at this point. Which is a shame, because anyone who can disrupt the duopoly of Boeing and Airbus gets my attention.

You have no clue if it was pilot error, weather related or aircraft issue...this 1 did not withstand any pounding on landing...hell the fuel tanks ripped open like a pack of gum!!

I suspect that, in that landing as shown on video, realistically ANY airframe's fuel tanks (if still full from take-off) would have ruptured. Like the aftermath of Chernobyl in 1986, Russian safety only improves when exposed to the glare of publicity.
