My newest video, showing a steep but very stable and safe approach into runway 26 at KDXR. Enjoy (www.youtube.com) さらに...

I'm sorry.. but the abbreviated headline on the homepage is just too funny to pass up.

"Approach and Landing in a Citation V business jet - cock…"

JET COCK!

Ha! That's a good one. At least it catches the attention of the viewers...
Happy Landings,

Guido,

I really like your humility and your honesty. I've done the same thing numerous times in a Hawker. There are many people who have never flown a jet VFR from point to point.

Best Wishes!

Thanks Carlos!
We have actually a Hawker 800 based at KDXR. Quite impressive how this thing gets in and out the short runways.
Happy Landings,

In the times of troubled landing of Asiana 214 on 6th July, 2013, at SFO, this and similar clips are welcome relief !
ThanX for uploading.
However a small observation. But no offence please !
The file size is too big, 269 Mb for a 9 min. clip! too big for streaming time as well as for down loading for repeated viewing and learning. See, I am a novice and a non aviator! Tow-in-one ! :-p

Thank you very much. I am new to video editing. What do you think would be am appropriate file size for this high resolution video? And what is a good program to edit videos that's not too complicated?
Many thanks

I am no nerd in videography. All I know is higher the resolution, larger is the file size. And due to this inability I have not ventured to upload VDOs made by me. My camcorder records at the least resolution at the rate of 7Mbps!So imagine the size of just 1 min. clip! Terrible.
My sincere apologies.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I will keep you informed if I find something better.
Happy Landings,
Guido

The file size is fine. The videos are in HD. Most people have very fast broadband speeds available on their pc or smartphone. For those that don't, they can watch the video in 360p.

Thank you for your videos, Guido.

ThanX Buddy, for unwittingly giving me the tip most needed.
HD files are always big and most camcorders these days, incl. mine, record in HD only whether LP/SP/XP/FXP or MXP or better mode.
Right?

Pardon for dragging it.
In the current times, merely wishing 'Happy Landings' may not suffice. Happiness will depend on the service from the cabin crew.
Better may be " Safe Landing", 'cause you never know when are being piloted by guys with similar psyche as those of Asiana 214 on 6th July, 2013!
My apologies for stretching it.

This is why I no longer fly VFR in a jet. Although you had flight following SEVERAL time I notice both pilots with their heads down. See and avoid.... Way too much going on in a jet to do it all.

that's just my $.02
okguido
Jason, you raise a valid point here!
The problem is that outside of class A you are not really protected from VFR traffic. We have TCAS II, if this goes on it's a strict "heads up". We both live in the real world and know how much VFR flying safes on fuel and flight times on some trips.
Thanks for your comment and happy landings!
