Birds strike airplanes in US more than 40 times per day, cost $1.2 billion per year, FAA data shows
Ten years after a collision with Canada geese forced airline pilot Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger to make his dramatic emergency landing on the Hudson River, pilots and airports are reporting as many bird strikes as ever. So genius what is your solution to an ongoing very well known problem? Spray for birds and kill them all? About the only way to do it as just about all else has been tried and all are very aware of the problem
