An aircraft shuts down an engine 30 minutes from an airport.
This is news.
Apparently doesn't happen very often.

"What type of engine?" https://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/NNum_Results.aspx?NNumbertxt=344UP indicates GE CF6-80C2B6F.

Not enough motors. They don't use two engine airplane for extended over water flights because it's safer.

Amazing reliability when we hear about an engine being shut down and it makes the news.
