Memo to Icelanders : Stop lecturing the rest of us about Greenhouse gases. There are 29 volcanoes shown on that map of Iceland. We all remember the extreme particulate and gas emissions from the 2010 Iceland eruptions ....

Despite the arguments to the contrary, the facts speak for themselves: Greenhouse gas emissions from volcanoes comprise less than one percent of those generated by today’s human endeavors" (Scientific American Feb 2009). As if Icelanders are responsible for geologic events... memo to you: stop looking down your nose at those trying to make a difference with their human carbon footprint.
We are carbon-based life forms. CO2 is an essential gas for life to exist on Earth.
Many times in Earth's history, CO2 concentrations have been many times higher than now and the Earth was much more bio-diverse and healthy with zero ice on it. We need MORE CO2, not less.

The article is about ash emmisions not CO2. Ash clouds can cause damage to aircraft so it's important to the aviation industry.
