Regulators Discover New 737 MAX Autopilot Problem
It seems that the situation with the 737 MAX returning to service just keeps getting worse (onemileatatime.com) さらに...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
You know what the real problem is? They will ALWAYS FIND MORE SOFTWARE BUGS and vulnerabilities... This is exactly why Microsoft and Apple kept asking you to let them install updates.
They are chasing their tails with automation watching over automation which is watching over automation...
Isn't it time to pull the plug?
Looks like Boeing is pulling the plug on themselves. They are moving into unknown territory with hundreds of aircraft with airlines and many more stored prior to delivery to a dwindling number of customers. The next issue will be to see how the public will react when the Max are cleared to fly again. We will be watching with great interest.
I think Boeing will drop the MAX designation. I know some people on here think only experts like themselves know what a 737 MAX is, but the public isn't always as dumb as they think. The use of the MAX name helps people remember it when they might not know the difference between a 787-9 and 787-10 or 737-600. If paying passengers start avoiding airlines that fly the MAX, those carriers will really suffer. If Boeing doesn't drop the name, I bet a lot of airlines will do so on their own.
I think they should wait until there are an even 6000 on order, then pull the plug.
On the 737 MAX? Or on Boeing?
