Small airplane crashes off Kalaupapa, nine people rescued
A small aircraft operated by Makani Kai Air has crashed into the ocean just northeast of Kalaupapa on Molokai. The downed Cessna is reportedly about a half-mile from shore. A Makani Kai spokesperson says eight passengers and one pilot made it out safely using life vests on board. The flight was heading from Molokai to Oahu.
