What appears to be water on the taxiway is actually just an illusion created by the heat on the taxiway. There hasn't been any precipitation in this area for many days. What I find particularly interesting is that Doc is still reflected even tho the water doesn't exist.

Hi Gary, what a great shot! I'm guessing that taxiway has to be 60 feet wide. Which shows you the huge wingspan of the B29...I wish we had one here in Australia!

Top shot. Interesting effects caused by mirages and I don't mean the French fighters:)

Epic catch of the Superfortress taxing in with the outboard props feathered, Gary!

Gavin, Chris R., and Dwight ... Hey, guys, TYVM for the kind comments.
Chris ... The longest runway at MEV (16-34) is 100 feet wide, then the secondary (12-30) is 75 feet wide, and the unpaved runway is 60 feet wide. So I'm figuring the primary taxiway (Alpha) being used here is, as you surmised, 60 feet wide.
ALSO, to Chris R, Dwight H., Cliff G., Alpha Viv, and Uwe >>>> I've sent out the Tom Cruise photos taken of him as he was landing at NAS Fallon in the Navy F-18 painted for the new TOP GUN movie with the name CAPT PETE "MAVERICK" MITCHELL under the cockpit. Everyone who provided an e/m addy to me received a Multi-Photo email from me within the past 90 minutes. I did send to each of you; however, the e/m addresses I have for the five of you are rather old ... so ... if you did not receive the e/m from me with the photos and if you DO want to see/have the pics, e/m me at [email protected] with your new mailing address. To Chris Robey >>> It just bounced back as UNDELIVERABLE. I guess I don't have the correct e/m for you. Please e/m me with your address.
To all >>> If you know you are on my e/m list and should have received the pics but have not received them, notify me. I may have inadvertently overlooked your name on my list (there are 53 names here).
To Jeff and Rich B. >>>> Sending to you now.
Jorgianne, Marylou, Diana, Serge L. >>> I have no e/m addys for you.
And to those who did not see my offer under my recently posted photo of a Warthog at RTS, if you read the offer and are interested, follow the directions under that photo so I can share with you.

Super Gary! All your recent shots are fantastic! Thank you for the e/m shots of TC, very nice!

Hi Dwight just FYI those props are not feathered. If they were, you would be looking at knife edges.

Fantastic face to face with this B29 Gary! All 5!
