Great point. Aren't most 8i's now are freighters? The A380 wasn't designed as dual role freighter and pax plane. The 747 was originally designed for both roles. The Lockheed C5 won out between the 747 as a strategic airlifter. There is a lot more history to the 747 than some know.
I thought for now the Project Sunrise was an experiment done with their employees on endurance for future revenue flights. I'm sure they're wanting to profit somehow off it, but for now it's not about filling seats. LOL, I've never had the pleasure of flying Qantas so I'm not sure how bad they're hurting for revenue.
Some years ago my wife forced me to go to the emergency room because "something didn't feel right" that morning. I was in the clear, but my family has a history of heart disease. As the doctor told me there is no way to predict a heart attack. One can also be "healthy as a horse" and a heart attack can happen.
On that, I feel for his family and my thoughts are with their loss.
WN and other airlines have pushed back delivery once again to March of next year. What is this guy talking about? Sounds like he's just ranting against Boeing.
So the FAA lowered the hours for ATP pilots back to 250? They had raised it to something like 1500 hours after the Continental Express flight crashed near Buffalo, NY some years ago.
So true. The toxic crap coming out of DC is bad enough, now we have this ass as a Commander-in-Chief. My heart about stopped while the DoD was briefing him in on Classified material before he officially took office.
LOL, now his presense will screw up my Alabama and LSU game. At least I didn't pay a boat load of money for a ticket on crap seats in Tuscaloosa, ALABAMA.
All right, I'll keep it aviation from now on.
