Lets hope Boeing & the FAA learned something from this fiasco. Should have listened to the PIC, who's complaining about the system fell on deaf ears. Seems the engineers who don't pilot these planes know more than the person in the cockpit doing the flying & using the systems.
There have been reports out of the SC plant of drug use and protection by management. They have no drug testing “at any time” to find the bad apples. Its a “good old boy” mentality if your friends with your supervisor. Is this workmanship due to drugs in your system? Who knows but I won’t fly on a 787.
I doubt it’s permanent but it sounds nice to the public. The customer has finally found a different way to get around after years of screwing the customer base and treating us as cargo.
The pilot who started the roll to the right is in error. The right side wing man only course of action was to get out of the way by breaking away. The command was a slow roll left, all executed except one guy. I'm betting that pilot is under review as to what & why he did just the opposite.
