Reminds me of a similar incident with JetBlue back in the 2000s

It’s the sixth incident of this type for the A320, the JetBlue one you’re referring to was the second.

For this to happen so many times; the nose gear needs to be re-engineered.....stating the obvious, I kno'.

Got a laugh at the end of the article. Just below a photo of the damaged nose gear, showing wrecked tire and wheel ground down to the axle, it says:
“The aircraft involved will also need to undergo maintenance and repairs before returning to service.”
Well.....DUH!

You are too right about Simple Flying. I have unsubscribed from anything that involves them. dreadful social conscience and terrible articles full of misspells mis info and laughable conclusions; 'will require maintenance before being put back in service'

Deja vu of the JetBlue at LAX some years ago. First guess would be malfunction in BSCU. Issues well known to A320 operators.
