Boeing P-8 Poseidon (16-9010)
Here's a US Navy P-8A Poseidon approaching runway 13R at Dallas Love Field after a sortie over the Gulf of Mexico. Attached underneath the fuselage is a state-of-the-art Raytheon Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS). The US Navy has a temporary base at Love Field in which P-3s and P-8s operate out of. Their mission is shrouded in secrecy, but it has been rumoured that they perform drug interdiction missions along the US-Mexico border.

That is SWEET!
Not just any P8, it's a P8 AGS. Awesome pic.
Great shot!
What is the commercial version of this aircraft called (without all the military modifications)?
Onward Lam - not quite the same, but the P-8 is based on and developed from the Boeing 737-800ERX
Probably out doing training as it's a VP-30 aircraft.
Probably watching the Gulf of Mexico too!
Bryan - It's no longer a VP-30 aircraft. All the flashes have been removed. The unit a Love is its own thing.
I did not know the Navy replaced their Dallas P-3’s with P-8’s. Very interesting and very secret. I flew P-3’s for 17 years and even with a secret squadron VPU-1, and the planes in Dallas were even more secretð
You can drop the conspiracy theories. These so called "NAVY P-8s at Love" are nothing more than SW 737s in special "NAVY" paint schemes to commemorate the U.S. Navy.
