THANK YOU JESSE; FA has a propensity to mistag the F4U as V-166 -- there's a long discussion as to why, BUT the aircraft was typed prior to the ICAO by the Navy and commissioned as the F4U-1. The V-166 was the internal project code. It's all in the WiKi https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vought_F4U_Corsair
