My step-father, George A Mursch, Jr, was assigned to and flew with the 25th Fighter Squadron in China in 1944-45. The 25th is now the 51st Wing at Osan Ab, Korea. His mission was ground support in P-40s and then Mustangs. The A-10s carry on the mission today. A war anecdote: Dad left India in a brand new Mustang, thinking this was the way to go to war. Upon landing, the Squadron Commander took the new Mustang and dad cot a hand me down P-40. He learned a lot about RHIP that day.
