FDX's "Stan" (N590FE) is one of a pair of MD-11s undergoing MX work at the Fed Ex heavy maintenance hangar at LAX.

Captured as we were beginning to climb away from runway 24L.
very cool pic Gman! N1757A was the 1st reg for American Airlines in Aug 1991. I have video of this new MD-11 at SJC and what a great angle - I dont think Ive ever seen a photo at this location at LAX from this angle - 5x*

Just south of Beverly Hills...different angle! LAX as working airport. Community is said to employ over 50,000 people.
