BOEING 767-300 (N583HA)
Comments
The angle along with the lens used to capture this shot makes the plane look as though the tail is nearly scraping the tarmac. Good thing it is an illusion otherwise this couold get very costly quick.
Haha I thought it was a tail drag.
It is landing on the runway on the bottom of the photo... as I'm sure you surmised. A nice illusion, though. :)
I think this is a photo of a take-off from the near runway based on the flap setting being around 20. They're definitely not fully extended. A nose high pitch attitude of that magnitude is not likely on landing in a swept wing airplane.
Nice Picture, but I never knew that the Boeing 767-300 of Hawaiian Airlines flew to KPDX. I only thought it was the Airbus A330-200. Welp, you learn something new every day I guess... :)
You are so right, FA9295. As of Dec 2015, the only HA service between PDX and the Islands are daily PDX-HNL Flights HA25/26 with an Airbus A330-200. Alaska Airlines serves Honolulu, Kahului, Kona. and Lihue from PDX with Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
I feel like Hawaiian Airlines retired these birds too early. Both A330's and 767's are 80's birds at heart, yet the A330 remains much more popular today for some reason.
Great shot, so glad I took a second look ! ;)
