Big aircraft with a big single.
Sr Geoffrey de HAvilland was one of the genius of the last century..
Serge - Sir Geoffrey de Havilland was certainly a genius aircraft designer and engineer. Alas, I do not believe he had any hand in designing either the de Havilland Canada DHC-3 Otter nor it's predecessor, the de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver.
Perhaps a little known tragic fact regarding Sir Geoffrey is that he lost all three of his sons while flying de Havilland aircraft. Two, his oldest and middle born sons, were killed while working as test pilots for de Havilland and the third, his youngest son, died in a mid-air collision involving two Mosquitoes during WWII.
Following the loss of the third and last de Havilland son, Sir Geoffrey's wife (and the boys' mother) evidently grieved herself to death and passed away at the quite early age of 40 in 1949.
