Have you seent their new (34 YO) 757? It's painted just like the DC-8 and apparently they're keeing both in service.

She almost looks naked with no slats. I never before realized the DC-8 doesn't have slats.

Still a great,'solid' and reliable aircraft. Having had many rides on this aircraft in the late 1960's until late 1970's, I certainly always felt safe and sound on it. The good old air travel times, where they not?
