Hawaiian Airlines used to operate Dash 7’s from Honolulu into the Kapalua-West Maui Airport 30-plus years back. Now a rare bird indeed.

Great plane, very reliable. Flew on one out of CYTZ, City Express, 1989. Air Tindi still has some. Nice catch Lars.

DHC-7 I loved the aircraft, flew it for 3 years as Captain throughout the Caribbean for a Charter Airline. The DHC-7 was STOL certified and performed well. Somewhat slow at cruise (225 knots) but you had piece of mind knowing it had 4 big PT6 engines for extended over water operations. Also flew the DHC-8 but always had fond memories of the Dash 7.
