Opened Canada's North, did the Beaver. Great shot!

U.S. Army had De Havilland planes & I flew both. Solid steady and let me learn instrument work at 100 knots.

This is not a DHC-3 Otter, but rather DHC-2 Beaver.

Yeah, that's a Beaver.

I was told the story where, after there had been a wheels up accident, a Army Beaver pilot on final was questioned by the tower, "Gear down"? His reply was, "Gear down and welded". It was not taken well.
