The 747 is arguably the best and safest aeroplane ever built.
In an industry where triple redundancy is the norm, the 747 has four hydraulic systems.

Airlines around the world have phased out the 747 because they claim it is uneconomic to operate on passenger services. But freight operators can still justify new 747 aircraft.
It defies logic.
