I will be interested to see the investigation in this accident. Isn't the 2nd engine out there to avoid having to do a forced off field landing?
That is an old twin sea bee. Although I don't know about it's performance older aircraft were not required to have the single engine performance modern aircraft are capable of. Many pre 1968 aircraft can not fly on single engine. This plane was probably built in the 50's
