A very rare day for me today ... this is the first day in the past nine that I haven't been clicking aircraft at either Reno or in California. The activity just at RNO alone has been fantastic: seven different C-130 visitors, a GTI B747, C-17s, chartered and corporate B737s, visits by both Clinton and Trump, and that is not to mention all the other rare arrivals such as this Dash 8-100 that are bringing in people for Burning Man. Also, a couple days ago, six different special livery airline paxbirds came and left in just a few hours time. So I'm enjoying this single day of rest. Tomorrow, it is back behind the viewfinder for another wonderful week of nonstop aviation photography, highlighted by photo opportunities on Wednesday of Air Force One and Marine One (and support aircraft). And then, ... Reno Air Races action in less than three weeks.

Dave ... Received your email. To you and all other FA buddies ... Not ignoring you, guys. I've just been unbelievably on-the-go doing a/c shoots, hosting visiting spotters, racing from one airport to another and then to another, etc. I've racked up mileage like crazy, but the clicks I'm getting are fantastic!! And I'll be sharing plenty of them with each of you (emails, not publicly) but it is going to be awhile yet. My calendar for the next six weeks only has nine "uncommitted" days still open on it. But I promise, the shots you will get from me when the end of October rolls around and I finally get some time are pics you won't see anywhere else. And I'll also be able to sit back and catch up on all the snaps you guys have posted. Honestly, I've had no free minutes to check out your posts. but if you could be here and be with me over the past month and over the next six weeks, you'd fully understand. I miss yakking with each of you and viewing your snaps, and I'll make it up to all of you with pics that will bowl you over. The stuff I've already got is amazing, and it is nothing compared to what I will be clicking. (Wave to all)
PS: The final 90-second-long vid from the first reel of my old 8mm movies is now posted on You Tube. Check it out. Air Force One at JFK in '67 is on it. Also a Lufthansa 707 taxiing. Braniff too. And when I finally get time to do it, I'll be taking single-frame saves from all seven of those vids, converting the single-frame saves to JPEGS, and I'll email them to you too. (Thumbs Up)
