We flew in on Saturday evening to have dinner since it's an hour hop from Houston. Upon arrival we were quickly greeted by Fred on the ramp. I asked him for a few recommendations on restaurants and he suggested the Sky Restaurant on the field (which ended up being excellent, great food and service) and gave us walking directions to the restaurant and even offered us a courtesy car. We opted to walk since the FBO closed at 9pm and we wouldn't be back in time to drop off the keys (although they do offer after-hours arrangements). Fred gave us a temporary code to get back through the gate after we had dinner and walked back, and we had no problems getting back to our plane. We didn't purchase fuel or utilize the FBO but it was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. These guys really made for an awesome evening visit to VCT.
I stopped here to get some fuel on my way back from Lake Charles. An attendant came out while I was using the self-service fuel to ask if I needed anything, and then offered to give me a ride to the FBO with the golf cart. They don't have a crew car but the attendant mentioned they may have one in the future. Nice clean facility and courteous staff.
