Great point. I was thinking the same thing. I'm also a bit surprised they didn't engineer it with a greater range. Sounds like it can barely make it to London from New York. Don't a lot of Gulfstream products have a much longer range?
Yeah, seems to me like Philly's going to price themselves out of being a major hub for a major airline. Airways could presumably shift more traffic to CLT, or even fire up PIT again. Both those airports have plenty of space and would love the extra traffic.
I'm wondering how UPS feels about this since they have a pretty big operation in Philly. I wonder if they're going to get a new facility out of having to move their operation due to the runway construction.
Yes of course Bush never went on vacation, nah...only our current President does that. How can you possibly respect Bush's actions? He shredded the Constitution, invaded and destroyed a country that had nothing to do with the attacks, and diverted resources to do so from hunting down the people that actually carried it out.
The article was a fascinating read, but don't glamorize what Bush did on that day...it's only worthy of scorn.
I love these articles sometimes. It says that an aft CG could cause the plane to "Lose lift, stall, and crash". CG doesn't affect whether a wing produces lift or not. Also, it states that the flight crew of 5 had "over 100 years of flying experience". According to my calculations that would make the average flight time of the crew 175200 hours. If all of them had been flying for 50 years, that would mean they had flown 3504 hours in each of those 50 years. I think they may want to check their numbers. That being said, I'd ride on one of their flights any day. Well done.
