A significant fact omitted from the article is that NetJets also laid off hundreds of crew members. This layoff was made painfully worse when it was coupled with the staggeringly bad decision to unionize NJI. This joining of NetJets America and NJI and forcing the NJI flight crews to become union members, eliminated the opportunity for advancement to Captain for hundreds of deserving NJI First Officers. NetJets has unfortunately lost its luster.
