If praying worked AT ALL, there would be at least a few Christians (or any other devout monotheistic group) walking around on magically and divinely restored legs that had previously been amputated for war, disease or public service.
There are many amazing things in this world. One of the most astonishing is that many people still appear to believe in talking snakes and asses, global floods, magical gods who live way up in the sky, virgin pregnancies, men living inside fish and dead guys waking up after 3 days.
But then people who substitute faith for thinking don't have much intellectual horsepower anyway.

I dislike blaming pilots but this one can not possibly be anything other than pilot error. (PFU). I've had plenty co-pilots who couldn't even drive the damn airplane. These juvenile button pushers have no idea what airmanship is nowadays.

As a long time commercial pilot and aero engineer, I unequivocally say I would be perfectly comfortable walking onto a U.S. operated 37Max to go from A to B. It seems to have escaped notice that all TWO of their 'accidents' were on 3rd world 'airlines'.
Compared with the initial teething of many other aircraft like the 737, Electra, Comet, DC-10, F104 & V22 Osprey, just to mention a few, this plane's troubles aren't even significant.
Oh boo hoo...more pearl clutching. I'm betting the kid was far less traumatized than his mommy who is probably scouring the yellow pages for a lawyer. It looks like a silly but benign mistake...where's the harm?
