Looking at the 20+ pictures, looks like the Towbar on the sidewalk, pix # 8, did the Pilot forget to remove the towbar before the enginestart and takeoff?
The hand should never be removed from the towbar, til you stow it in baggage compartment.
Let the pilot and pax get well soon.
Too bad they could not come up with a Central Collection point in the large Airport terminals, give the owners a Loaner fone, until they return to the the same Airport, the owner then could p/up his fone. Perhaps also chg the fone numbers into the Loaner fone or Exchange fone alltogether.
The warnings should be on their Samsung Note 7 screens. Good luck to all of them.
Good Landing despite no electrical for the landing gear, No commmunication, flying a complex aircraft, but no handheld radio to call a tower, under any circumstances even at just a few miles out.Sportys has the least expensive handhelds. Better Luck next time.

Brings back a few memories to LGA AND IDL. I began work in August 1956 at LGA and transfered to IDL in MID-1957. Our terminal was the Quonset Hut type Building. Yes,they were the good ol'days to visit the Observation Decks without a badge or Security checks.
Thanks for the memories. Joe.

As he stood very close to it, after opening it he was splattered from top to bottom. Well, you guessed it al we could say was, hey man - you can even do sh***y job sh***y.
