You've stated that the air is replaced every 2-3 minutes & out of curiosity I have to ask these questions: Since there is roughly 1/3 the amount of oxygen in the air at 30K ft. (6.9%) as there is at sea level (20.9%), how does the airplane remove and replace the "air" in the plane at 30K and maintain a high enough level of oxygen that breathing isn't difficult? Why do people carry/use oxygen when climbing Mt. Everest if the 6.9% in the air is sufficient?
