What a waste of a beautiful airliner, why does United care about the 787 comfort features.

Yup, you can add Tamiami airport (Miami Executive now) as well, Miami VFR approach from east terrain view is water, concrete grid and swamp...

Yes, when JetBlue was different, but still much better than the "mainstream" airlines. Although, Delta Airlines is making an effort with some awareness for human dignity. In reality, it's the majority of airline travel consumers that capitulates to these draconian quality levels. So, the airline executives are having easy revenue pickins, without any risks...

As a pilot of smaller planes, typical crosswind approaches is crabbing on short final. Then slip to touch down the runway. The slip will normally have one of the main wheels touch the runway first to counteract the crabbing inertia. By crabbing, is the noise of airplane pointing towards the wind, but over the runway, don't want to touchdown sideways. Now sure, but I think the B-52 was designed to land at a crabbing posture... Anyway, looks like an over correction when the pilot "tried" to slip the touchdown, was painful to watch. But, look at crosswind landings on youtube, I see many airliners touchdown while crabbing!

I only fly with JetBlue and international carriers, will not book a flight with United. The CEO is correct, the cheapest airfare from point A to point B (4 hour flight) s the prevailing market force. So, if ABC Airlines' fare is $700.00 and XYZ Airline is $650.00 for this round trip, Airline XYZ wins! Nothing else matters, consider (non-frequent flier): Airline ABC - free beverages and hot meal, seat pitch 34 inches, width 19 inches, pre-seat selection with logical boarding process. Airline XYZ - no beverage and snacks, seat pitch 30 inches, width 17 inches, Southwest style boarding process. These characteristics have no market influence, the airlines are forced to compete with publishing the lowest fare through online booking sites. And by the way, international airline services are trending towards US quality levels, Cathay Pacific is a horrible example. However, Japan Airlines maintains high quality of services, pioneer in "real" premium economy product. The US

Don't understand why airlines brag about having the longest torture session. Any air travel longer than 4 hours in economy class is a miserable experience. I travel to Manila, Philippines from New York frequently with Philippines Airlines (PAL). The PAL 777 300 stops over at Vancouver, then to Manila, 16 hours average time. Don't know why they can't go direct with the 777, in fact, PAL claims they need the A350 for nonstop flight from New York to Manila - sounds like an excuse based on politics. Anyway, PAL is notorious for its horrible quality of services, I've experienced this to be true. But, when booking a flight, seat selection is open, consequently, picking a flight with a high probability of getting an empty adjacent seat is great! So, my point, "World's Longest Flight" claim is useless without information about passengers well being...

Sad to see an amazing aircraft like the 777 being used by United, what an awful waste!

Folks, forgot to mention, most businesses don't provide high quality services, unless it needs to for survival and profits. So, United obviously has horrible service, but like I said earlier, the market does not care. Consequently, many of us are really victims of the market, I fly with JetBlue only, however they are slowly eroding quality of services because of the mass market. Well, at least, I've decided to simply not air travel much anymore...

will not fly with United ever! Domestic US airlines quality of services is horrible, but the masses are programmed to accept it. Anyway, don't blame United, the market just keeps accepting their atrocious service, not me ever...
