A more accurate way of determining the total deaths from Covid is to look at the total deaths in USA in 2018,2019 and in 2020 and see if there is a significant increase in 2020 that is unexpected. There will be some number of increased deaths due to Covid (TBD) and some number that may have died that year from existing disease. What is known for sure is that hospitalization with ICU use is definitely higher this year (2020) and the costs for Covid treatment in money and opportunity losses is going to be significant not to mention the toll on health care workers involved in Covid care.

Thanks This was on an A 340 600 and crazy enough right after I fixed this persons head wound another passenger tripped and fell down the stairs going down to the lavatories and I needed to check her out as well but no injury. At least it wasn't a boring 11 hour flight.

I would hope the airline had an ambu bag and avoid any mouth to mouth. Even so the exhaust air probably would circulate in the near enclosed space unless filter present. I don’t think either paramedic turned positive thank god

I was on a Lufthansa flight a couple of years ago and an hour into the flight a passenger fell and split her forehead open. Captain wanted to know if they should turn back but the medical kit had all kinds of good stuff in it and I sewed her up and told them keep going. I didn't even get a thank you from Lufthansa let alone 200 bucks.

Except my dog is in a carrier and fits under the seat just like your carry on

Well I guess this is a good idea since it has been abused greatly. I will admit guilt with my wife getting a supporting letter from a psychologist so we could take our 8 pound Papillon on the plane without paying for the dog. On Southwest the cost for the dog was 95 dollars each way and the seat cost was 59 dollars for me. I asked if I could buy a seat for our dog since it was cheaper but they said no-- not possible.

Many folks made significant sacrifices in American history. I am sure during WW2 and WW1 families made decisions that affected holiday celebrations while their loved ones were fighting overseas. Seems to be a pretty small sacrifice to avoid holiday gatherings in order to save some lives and not tax our health care system and its workers. There is always next year.
