Thanks. There were several flights around the city NYEve, not just above Manhattan. There are many helicopter ops in the area. You should be able to get a ride with ease.

I agree about the gunfire, but we were too high up and away from most of the shoreline. Thumbs comment was to provoke a dialogue. I've seen many squawks posted by other FlightAware users with surprising negative numbers. I do see how you would arrive at your interesting conclusion.

At least Cleveland Hopkins Intl. was given a shot. Seems like trans-Atlantic and trans-Pacific flights are better served by JFK, LAX, ORD, and for Continental, EWR in New Jersey.

Gorgeous aircraft... no doubt! KAL will surely benefit from this new fleet addition. I expect to see it locally when it makes its scheduled arrivals and departures into and out of Kennedy Intl. NYC.
