This is actually not a bad shot of the A380 but in most shots - especially in profile - it looks ugly with its big bulbous nose. In contrast the 747 looks perfect from every angle. The 747 is the true "Queen of the Sky".

The fact is Airbus is not known for making good looking airliners and I include the latest - the A350XB - as another ugly duckling.

Beginning with the 707 - Boeing has built one great looking aircraft after another (the 727 being my personal favorite).

Bombardier is another airframer making great looking aircraft. The new CSeries is downright sexy!
