I don't think the airlines are part of any deep state BUT there is a deep state made up of career politicians, Liberal Media, unelected bureaucrats and the people like Big Tech that support that structure all for their own gain.

I agree, 2021 will still be a tough year and even when domestic travel picks back up to a decent level, International travel will be slow to return for several years and that's where the big Airlines made most of their money. Its a new world emerging in many Industries but especially the commercial aircraft world where China will add a third player to Boeing and Airbus

There is a story about a test flight on the first U2 where the pilot reported a vibration problem due to flutter, when he landed, Kelly Johnson went out on the ramp with a pair of tin snips and cut off some of the trailing edge and told him to go back up and try it. not sure if this is a true story but sounds like something Kelly would do, he and his crew were genius

Fire sell prices always draws buyers, Boeing will get rid of these planes sooner or later but their margin will be most likely zero or even a loss on each airframe, as the airline industry recovers, it will be in single aisle aircraft not two aisle Boring can forget the 777X, the demand will evaporate as will the market for the GE 9X engine

It all starts with Leadership and Boeing was more concerned with the share price and bottom line than the products so the Leadership went from Engineers to Bean Counters which always spells trouble long term. It takes a long time to earn trust and a short time to lose it, something the Commercial Division forgot.

Jet pack guy at 3000 ft., I don't think so, even folks in Southern Cal aren't that stupid with a death wish. At best it was a RC drone of some configuration

If elected, Joe Biden could end this Boeing fiasco quickly by putting his son Hunter on the Boeing Board so they would have some expert guidance on the International Aircraft Market.
