As for the alignment of the INS/AHARS, Jim you are completely INCORRECT, it does not take 30 minutes, it takes 3 whole minutes. That information is straight from my Flight Safety Pilots Training Manual. I'm currently flying a 800 with about 13 years flying 700's before that.

The press is incorrectly identifying it as a H25, the ICAO code is H25B. The manufacturers designation is HS-125, (for Hawker Siddeley), yes the spelling is correct, and includes all the earlier model Hawkers from the 400, 600, 700 and the 800 and XPs, but not the 1000. Most people simply call it a Hawker 800 or such, depending on the model.

Now that's a real airplane engine.

Three King Air crashes in recent months, and all with only 1 pilot on board, how unusual considering that this is certified as a single pilot airplane. What's you point? Single pilot operations are flown all day long all over the world, the vast majority without trouble. Not all planes are required to have 2 pilots like the Airlines. The gross weight on the 200 is 12500# and even at gross the plane will fly with one engine, provided you fly the correct profile that you did in training. That's full power, flaps up, gear up, prop feathered and climb out at Vyse of 121 kts. Once you do that and everything is under control, there is no problem turning into the dead engine with a shallow bank. You would not make an immediate hard turn to a parallel opposite direction runway. Climb out straight ahead and get some altitude under you before doing anything else. I ran some performance numbers on what I guessed at the conditions of the day. Even at a gross of 12500# and around 70 degrees at

An interesting sky, nice lighting with beautiful fall colors, nicely done video.

On the Hawkers both the gear and flaps are hydraulic operated with a pump on each engine and a common reservoir. There is also a separate system for extending the gear and flaps with another reservoir and a hand pump in the cockpit. Also, what is a HA800XP, the proper manufacturers designation is HS 125-800XP, the HS stands for Hawker Siddeley, the original manufacture.

Re-read some of your own earlier posts, sounds like speculation to me. For the record, you're not the only one that comment was directed at.

Guys, the correct term is thrust reversers or TR's, NOT reverse thrusters. Try and keep the wild speculation to a minimum, let the news media do that.
