Early in the pandemic, airlines quickly suspended most inflight service offerings. On some of the shortest flights, you wouldn’t receive anything — not even water. With the holidays approaching and more people taking to the skies, carriers are slowly resuming pre-pandemic service, with an increased focus on crew and passenger safety. On Oct. 1, United boosted its complimentary offerings. (thepointsguy.com) さらに...
"When the flight attendant passes by your row, you’ll be asked if you want to purchase a snack or drink. If you do, the crew will pull up your profile on a mobile tablet and charge your stored payment method. Receipts will be emailed, keeping the purchase process completely touchless"
This seems like a very smart process that should have been implemented even before the pandemic. More convenient for the passengers and more likely to generate more online sales.
boy, will environmentalists be shocked - look at all the plastic in the photo. before COVID it was all about eliminating plastic straws, plastic bags, wrappers, etc. What happened!? What a hoot.
Its was manifestly absurd from the beginning and no less today. People are getting this flu virus as they get all flu viruses , ie, from close sustained contact with family and friends aggregating in poorly ventilated homes and apts. The idea that the predominant mode of transmission is transient passage in public open well ventilated spaces is preposterous mythology. Airports are one of the best alternatives to your tiny apt with recirculating air, as with airplanes they are specifically designed with high airflow that entrains large amounts of fresh conditioned air. As for masks they are totally foolish, with normal breathing exhaling via the nose emits air down towards the ground away from people, masks redirect this air ( you can feel the jets of air especially if you wear glasses) upward over everyone in proximity. Its really ridiculous but when the government burocrats endorse foolishness there is no recourse.
