One notable detail not mentioned in this article is that the Pratt & Whitney PW1100G-JM powering the A320neo is a Geared Turbofan engine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pratt_%26_Whitney_PW1000G)
The A320NEO actually rolled out of Toulouse, France. The assembly line in Mobile, AL is still being built.
The plane was painted and engines mounted in Mobile. It is in the story.
How did they get the plane to Mobile without engines?
