Small plane crashes in Western Adirondacks
A small, private plane contracted by the U.S. Defense Department to support a military training exercise crashed in a lake in a remote area of the western Adirondacks Thursday morning. (www.adirondackdailyenterprise.com) さらに...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
Sounds like they were enroute to KLKP. Being from the area I know that Nye Mountain is not maintained like the other High Peaks (no trail markers). They were lucky there were hikers on the descent and on the mountain. Glad to hear everyone walked out, clearly some nice emergency landing skills from the pilot (and some luck, of course). No one wants to see another Wright Peak crash...still some engine components near the summit from that crash from decades ago.
Very lucky walking away and also avoiding that huge alligator that was there in the 70's...
Im pretty sure the alligator was for the lake placid in florida, i used to live in lake placid new york.
It's NY, that thing was about 30 ft. long, eating whole cows. The one in FL ate oranges and the Mexicans that were picking the oranges...
The grain of salt I need to take that with, is on the rim of a margaria glass :)
U never saw the movie?
Nope, can't say missed it.
