Air Force restricts KC-46 from carrying cargo and passengers

It is kind of funny that this KC-46 article wound up on the FlightAware news , as it is a Boeing / USAF millitary issue . But i have been following the KC-46 story on 3 different Military Blogs i receive each day , for quite a while . It is a very sad story for Boeing , that they have fallen so far , from something they used to do so very well . With the on going problems with the Max added into the financial woes , i often wonder if Boeing can survive all the calamities with these two projects . Will this be the demise of Boeing as we presently know it ?

Hi Michael Stansfield . In hind sight it seems that Airbus ( A dirty word in a USAF contract ) or your suggestion ,all seems to late . The USAF was excepting , then stopping deliveries and with holding millions until the KC-46 is up to snuff . From FOD Foreign object debris , Garbage , found in delivered aircraft , to A class one failure of an in floor latching system , that i had felt Boeing had mastered a very long time ago , just makes me wonder . But what i wanted to say , is it is to late for Boeing , USAF and Congress to back out . They HAVE to make this tanker work . And if i might mention the remote control re-fueling system is also a can of worms . The KC-46 is a very troubled project . Thanks for your reply Michael .
