Thai Airways flight with 364 on board had to dump fuel in the Channel and return to Heathrow

Submitted

A Thai Airways flight had to dump fuel in the English Channel and turn back to Heathrow moments after take-off - when the pilot was told that a cargo door was open. The flight left London at 9:35pm on Wednesday but during the ascent, a warning light appeared showing that the cargo hold door was not shut securely. (www.dailymail.co.uk) More...

It must have been flying REALLY low if it dumped fuel "in" the Channel. It seems a tad more likely that it dumped fuel while OVER the Channel.
