That's good for Boeing and good for the USA.
Love those Boeing's catching the Airbus A380's production they may over take there orders who knows
Already surpassed the A380 sales volume I think. Boeing should be concerned with the sales rate on the A350, a more direct competitor. Both are believed to be superior aircraft on long haul flights compared to older 777 and 767s
I wonder why people still compare the 787to the a380, 2 totally different markets .
Because that size of AC is taking over from them. That's why the production of it and the 747 is down to almost nothing.
The A380 production is also slowing down and the market does not look good for it in the long run. Airbus will never make up its R&D investment and will struggle just to break even on the manufacturing side. Sometimes choosing not to compete is a winning strategy.

Main reason I can think that these two are so often compared to one another is that they both were launched around the same time (within a couple years of one another). For example, rollout of the A380 was in 2005, the B787 in 2007. I'd say that it's pretty clear from the order book of the two aircraft, plus Airbus' introduction of the A350, that Boeing 'read the market' more accurately in the early 2000s when coming up with their plans.
Another point on the market: Nearly half of the A380s delivered have been to one airline (Emirates). The 787s largest operator, ANA, is just over 10% of the world fleet. The A380 is a bit overdependent on one operator to sustain the production, whereas the B787 has many operators to "lean on" to even if one operator goes south. (Side note, the A350 has a much more balanced order book, resembling the B787s diversity.)
