Textbook. Whoever taught this fellow should be recognized as well. That was a great piece of flying skill.

A no flap landing? I'd want to slow as much as possible! On further examination on my iPad, it seems that the port side main gear doors are not open fully. One assumes that the pilot tried cycling the gear. On the other hand, successfully landing with nose gear only minimized the damage to a very great extent! Well done!

Better than when I landed gear up in a fixed gear aircraft! (Oops side down)!!!

Kind of reminds me of a U-2/TR-1 landing,

considering that the pilot only had nose gear down this was a very smooth landing until the left wing dropped when the plane stopped

How much structural damage is done after this landing? The plane looks like it was in remarkable shape after the landing. I noted the prop was spared too.

I believe the article said a forklift lifted every thing up, gear was cycled and it taxied to terminal under it's own power. Apparently there was a student and instructor. I am assuming that was the instructor that got out last and took a bow. LOL

i believe that only the skin where the rear landing gear would be and the tip of the left wing were the only parts damaged in the belly landing

There is a big tie down eye bolt protruding through the tail cone. Might have ground a little flat spot on that, but not to the skin. On the other hand, there is a reason that most older 210's did the gear door removal STC; stuck gear doors caused most of the problems. My guess is that the port gear doors were seriously damaged.

That was a great landing! Treat it like a "soft field landing". Nose high and lay it on its rear and keep the nose up for as long as you can. Good job!

Looked like the lady that met him was giving him the business for a minute. Sure would've liked to hear what she was sayin'! We should all have skills like that pilot, never want to use them but should have them! Amazing!
