Brazil Postpones Controversial Level-D Simulator Requirement
“The FAA requires only a level-2 simulator for a rating in a Mitsubishi MU-2, one of the most dangerous airplanes to fly......" I only submitted this squawk because of how much I dislike that quote. Sadly, the Mitsubishi's bad rap continues.... (www.ainonline.com) More...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
To be fair, there's a big difference between a King Air and a MU-2. I don't have time in the King Air, but I do have time in a C441 and the MU-2. And do you even get typed in the MU-2? Isn't the training for insurance purposes only and/or to satisfy some safety requirement? The Mitsubishi CAN be a safe aircraft...provided enough experience and the knowledge that you need to be thinking far ahead of the aircraft.
