I don't understand why he put gasoline in it. If it was just carb ice, he should have still had fuel. But even then... gasoline?
Hmmm What about that pesky carb heat thing?
One of the first questions to cross my mind was, "How much fuel was on board when he 'landed'?"
The news accounts indicate enough for the plane to be taxied off of the freeway to the gas station...That doesn't fully answer the question however.
