Belly landing in Florence
FAA Safety Briefing @FAASafetyBrief Here's another reminder to always be prepared for an emergency. Video shows great landing with only nose gear down. youtu.be/KKC-tSQrKiM?t=… (www.youtube.com) More...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
Kind of reminds me of a U-2/TR-1 landing,
Textbook. Whoever taught this fellow should be recognized as well. That was a great piece of flying skill.
That was a great landing! Treat it like a "soft field landing". Nose high and lay it on its rear and keep the nose up for as long as you can. Good job!
A no flap landing? I'd want to slow as much as possible! On further examination on my iPad, it seems that the port side main gear doors are not open fully. One assumes that the pilot tried cycling the gear. On the other hand, successfully landing with nose gear only minimized the damage to a very great extent! Well done!
Better than when I landed gear up in a fixed gear aircraft! (Oops side down)!!!
I've seen landings with full gear smooth weather that weren't this smooth!!!!!!
