Report: Before Asiana crash, government was warned about problems with airplane escape slides

Emergency slides are rarely needed, but you want them to work reliably on those rare occasions they are needed.
I'm just wondering how you would check them as far as actual deployment went? Aren't they sort of a use and replace type unit, kinda like a car airbag.
You ever used a rope ladder Wayne?
yep
I prefer ropes to anything else. Even just a single rope...you might get a few hand skin burns.I think they are under used.
